The Way of Saint James, traditional French route

09:30 h. Departure from the hotel.

10:30 h. Arrival to the PASS OF RONCESVALLES (ALTO DE IBAÑETA)                                               This stop is a must, not only for the historical echoes of the place but for the wonderful views also.

11:30 h. Visit to SAINT JEAN PIED DE PORT.                                                                                   Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port is the last French town in the Way of Saint James before arriving in Spain.  It is the capital of Lower Navarre (Baja Navarra), a region that used to be part of the Kingdom of Navarre until 1527.

14:00 h. Lunch

16:00 h. Visit to RONCESVALLES.                                                                                                       The colegiate church of Roncesvalles was built in the 13th century to attend, not only spiritually but also artistically, to the pilgrims that were crossing the Pyrenees in their way to Santiago de Compostela.

18:00 h. Return to Pamplona

19:30 h. Arrival in Pamplona, dinner and accommodation.
